Shipping Information
At Questline Comics, we are collectors first and foremost. We know that a comic’s condition is its legacy. We do not use padded envelopes. Every order is secured in a Gemini Comic Mailer, the industry gold standard. Each book is housed in an archival-safe bag and board, then reinforced with additional cardboard ‘stiffeners’ to ensure the corners remain sharp.

The Questline Grading Standard
Near Mint (NM) | 9.2 – 9.8
A nearly perfect copy that looks brand new with only a few very minor defects.
- Allowed Defects: A very small amount of spine stress, minor denting (2–3 max), slight corner blunting, and minor (< 1/8″) bends without color breaks.
Very Fine (VF) | 7.5 – 9.0
Overall excellent condition. This is the standard for most well-kept modern comics that have been read once or twice.
- Allowed Defects: Minor corner wear, light accumulation of spine stress (some color-break allowed), and light denting or folds less than 1/4″.
Fine (FN) | 5.5 – 7.0
“Above average” but displays noticeable wear. Eye appeal is reduced by an accumulation of minor defects or one or two moderate ones.
- Allowed Defects: Slight spine roll, moderate spine stress (may break color), spine splits (< 1/2″), or minor water spotting (less than the size of a dime).
Very Good (VG) | 3.5 – 5.0
Shows significant wear but remains a desirable copy.
- Allowed Defects: Spine roll, 1/2″ to 1″ spine splits, cover or centerfold detached at one staple, and moderate staining or discoloration.
Good (GD) | 1.8 – 3.0
Major defects are present, but the book is complete and readable.
- Allowed Defects: Vertical book-length creases, 1.5″–2″ spine splits, detached covers, and heavy discoloration or water damage.
Fair (FR) & Poor (PR) | 0.5 – 1.5
These books display low eye appeal and major damage.
- Fair: May have non-story elements (like Marvel Value Stamps) cut out, provided all story art is complete. Severe water damage or paper deterioration is common.
- Poor: May be missing up to 4 pages of story/ads or have a completely split spine that affects readability.
